An orthodontist is different from a dentist. Dentists are great for filling cavities, cleanings, diagnosing oral cancer, crowns and bridges, and regular check-ups.

An orthodontist is a specialist who has two
to three years of additional education past dental school, and is an expert in straightening your teeth and choosing the treatment option that's best for you in regards to the alignment of your jaw and teeth.
